UPMC Hanover

Dave Pittman serves as the Director of Nursing at UPMC Hanover with responsibility for the clinical inpatient units, Women’s Health Services, Emergency Department, Stroke program and Magnet® Program Director.

Prior to serving in this role, Dave was the Director of Emergency Services responsible for the administrative oversight of operations for the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Dialysis, Transitional Care Unit, prehospital Advanced Life Support Unit and the Community Paramedicine program.

Dave has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration Healthcare Management from Western Governor’s University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin.

Since assuming his role as Director of Nursing, he has created a nursing professional practice model and Evidenced Based Practice council as part of UPMC Hanover’s journey to Magnet® designation.

Dave is a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. He is currently Vice-President and an active board member of Alpha Fire Company in Littlestown, Pennsylvania.
