UPMC Lititz

Barry Mitchneck is currently the Director of Nursing at the UPMC Lititz campus in Lititz, Pa with responsibility for the Clinical Inpatient Units, Women’s Place, Emergency Department, Stroke Program, and the Pathways Coordinator with 225 direct patient care members reporting to him.
Over his 31-year career, Mr. Mitchneck has held numerous leadership roles at various healthcare organizations.
Mr. Mitchneck has presented locally, regionally, and internationally on various nursing topics including the use of virtual reality vs. traditional methods for teaching bedside skills, utilization of computer-based education to learn hemodynamic monitoring, and presentations on flight and emergency nursing. Mr. Mitchneck has published on the topic of flight nursing and frequently performs reviews for the Journal of Emergency Nursing.
Mr. Mitchneck received his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Kutztown University and his Master of Science in Nursing from DeSales University and is currently a member of PONL and Sigma Theta Tau International.
